Mastercard Developers Solutions

As the Mastercard Developers experience lead, my role was to direct the design of new features to the Mastercard Developers platform, manage a team of product designers, and collaborate with the product and engineering teams to define new features, manager roadmaps, and deliver on-time.
Building on Momentum
After the successful launch of Mastercard Developers, positive reactions from Mastercard’s partners and issuing banks, led to demand for new ways to surface novel applications of Mastercard services.
Mastercard Developers Solutions provides sample implementations of Mastercard APIs to solve common business problems. Solutions serves a dual purpose as a demonstration tool for Mastercard client partners and to provide novel combinations of individual services to address larger problems.
Three Simple Questions
Mastercard APIs are used by a range of business from issuing banks to small brick and mortar merchants. The solutions landing page highlights the breadth of applications for Mastercard APIs through animation. Using the visual language and animation techniques from the home page, a short narrative plays on-hover demonstrating the application of each solution.
Each solution has its own detail page that is organized around three common questions our partner asked about our services. How does it work? Who can use it? and How can I get it? Short, to-the-point content provides answers to these questions and deep links to the documentation pages for each service utilized in the solution.
Results
Mastercard Developers Solutions launched in early 2017 and drove the creation of a new service offered by the Mastercard Developers team. In an API Business Workshop, Mastercard Developers consultants work with partners to better understand how an API-first strategy can grow their businesses.
